Dog food is really big business and the massive selection available on the supermarket shelf often promises to fulfill all of the nutritional requirements of our four-legged family members. But do the many hard to understand ingredients of big brand food really benefit the health and behaviour of dogs?
Canine Fast Food
The dog food that we buy in packets, tins, and huge bags with a long shelf life, barely resembles food at all and is horribly far removed from the whole-food source that it once was. Canine convenience food has the same effect on our furry friends health that eating tinned, dried, processed, and additive-filled pseudo food has on ours. Dog food may be packed with certain vitamins and cover Fluffy’s nutritional needs, most canine convenience foods do that, but it could also contain chemicals that act as a major mass of toxins in the dog’s body.
